What strong project delivery behaviour evidence looks like
A behaviour statement needs one focused example. Use most of the word count on your actions and show the choices that affected delivery. Project documents can support the story, although the example should explain what you did with the information.
HEO and SEO share the same official behaviour level. SEO examples should still show wider scale, stronger influence and greater responsibility where the vacancy demands it. Grade 7 examples should show senior leadership, strategic consequences and delivery through others.
Common reasons project behaviour statements score poorly
- The answer describes the project and gives little space to personal action.
- The applicant lists controls such as RAID, plans and dashboards without showing judgement.
- The result is a completed task rather than a delivery outcome.
- The stated behaviour appears only in the final sentence.
- Senior examples rely on job title while the action remains routine.
- The answer claims a perfect result and hides the trade-off, delay or remaining risk.
