HEO, SEO and Grade 7 behaviour examples for Civil Service Product Manager applications
Product Manager behaviour examples are strongest when the behaviour is demonstrated through a genuine product decision, stakeholder challenge or change in direction.
The exact behaviours vary by campaign. Current Product Manager recruitment commonly includes combinations of Making Effective Decisions, Communicating and Influencing, Changing and Improving, Seeing the Big Picture, Working Together, Leadership and Managing a Quality Service. The examples below use four behaviours that repeatedly fit product work.

How to use these examples
Each statement is a complete worked example rather than a phrase bank. Adapt the structure and level to your own evidence. Keep the named behaviour central and make your personal judgement visible.
What changes by grade
HEO and SEO behaviours use the same Success Profiles grade band, but an SEO example should normally show greater independence, complexity or breadth. Grade 7 examples should show wider organisational impact, senior influence and leadership through others where the behaviour calls for it.
