Passage
Employees can normally carry no more than five days of unused annual leave into the next leave year. Different rules apply where someone could not take leave because of long-term sickness or statutory family leave. Managers may also approve extra carryover in exceptional operational circumstances, provided a plan is agreed for using the leave. Unused leave outside these arrangements will lapse.
