The work does not end when the HR meeting finishes. Your immediate follow-up can protect the record, secure missing documents, confirm actions and prepare you for an investigation report, warning, review or appeal.

What to do on the same day
Should you send a follow-up email?
A short follow-up can confirm the main position, missing documents and agreed actions. It should not become an unplanned second statement. Where the meeting was complex or formal, take advice before sending a long substantive response.
Do not wait for official notes to preserve your memory
Write your own record immediately. Official notes may arrive later and may be a summary. Your contemporaneous note helps you identify what has been omitted or changed.
Members can unlock: a complete post-meeting action plan, same-day note template, controlled follow-up wording, official-note comparison, deadline tracker, outcome analysis and steps for preparing the next meeting, warning response or appeal.
