What is Changing and Improving?
Changing and Improving is about reviewing how work is done, identifying practical improvements and helping people adopt them. EO evidence needs to show implementation and review, including accessibility and the effect on colleagues and users.
What are the criteria at EO level?
The EO scoring guide has the following criteria. Your statement does not need to repeat this wording. It needs to make each point visible through the actions you took.
- regularly review own and team’s work and take the initiative to suggest ideas to make improvements
- give feedback on changes in a constructive manner
- take a positive, open approach to the possibility of change and encourage others to do the same
- help others to understand changes and the reasons they are being put in place
- identify and act on the effects changes are having on your role and that of the team
- look for ways to use technology to achieve efficient and effective results
- consider accessibility needs of the diverse range of end users
How to structure your statement
Keep the background short so the assessor has enough room to see your judgement and actions. A 250-word statement normally needs most of its words in the action section.
