HEO project evidence should show ownership of a defined piece of delivery. The sifter should see planning, milestones, risks, stakeholders and quality, together with a clear outcome rather than a list of project administration duties.
The exact wording will vary between vacancies. Use the criterion from your advert as the heading where the form allows, then give a relevant example. The strongest HEO project and programme delivery evidence names the setting, your responsibility, the action you personally took and the result.

What project and programme delivery criteria can look like
Common HEO advert wording includes:
- “Experience delivering projects or programmes to time, cost, and quality”
- “Uses delivery tools, risk management, and planning techniques effectively”
- “Follows appropriate governance and project frameworks”
What your project and programme delivery evidence needs to show
- The product, workstream or outcome you owned.
- The plan, milestones and governance used.
- How you managed risk, dependency and stakeholders.
- Delivery against time, cost and quality.
Why a strong project and programme delivery answer works
A strong answer gives the sifter evidence instead of adjectives. It connects the criterion to a real HEO-level responsibility and spends most of the space on the applicant’s actions and judgement.
For this criterion area, the sifter should be able to identify the product, workstream or outcome you owned, the plan, milestones and governance used, how you managed risk, dependency and stakeholders and delivery against time, cost and quality. The example should remain realistic: HEO evidence often leads a defined piece of work or decision, but it does not need to pretend that the applicant owned an entire organisation.
