At SEO level, stakeholder evidence should show more than friendly contact. The sifter needs to see how you understood different interests, created a working relationship, influenced a decision or maintained delivery through challenge.
The exact wording will vary between vacancies. Use the criterion from your advert as the heading where the form allows, then give a relevant example. The strongest SEO stakeholder and relationship management evidence names the setting, your responsibility, the action you personally took and the result.

What stakeholder and relationship management criteria can look like
Common SEO advert wording includes:
- “Builds and maintains effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders”
- “Confident working with senior leaders, officials, or external partners to influence decisions and support delivery”
- “Able to manage expectations and handle sensitive or high-profile interactions professionally”
What your stakeholder and relationship management evidence needs to show
- Who the stakeholders were and why their involvement mattered.
- The different priorities, concerns or constraints you managed.
- The communication and relationship actions you personally took.
- The agreement, delivery result or increase in confidence.
Why a strong stakeholder and relationship management answer works
A strong answer gives the sifter evidence instead of adjectives. It connects the criterion to a real SEO-level responsibility and spends most of the space on the applicant’s actions and judgement.
For this criterion area, the sifter should be able to identify who the stakeholders were and why their involvement mattered, the different priorities, concerns or constraints you managed, the communication and relationship actions you personally took and the agreement, delivery result or increase in confidence. The example should remain realistic: SEO evidence often leads a substantial workstream, service outcome or decision with wider dependencies, but it should show broader ownership without claiming Grade 7 or SCS authority the applicant did not hold.
