EO Managing a Quality Service Interview Questions

EO Interview Questions Managing a Quality Service Interview Questions
EO behaviour interview
Show how you understood need, planned delivery and solved recurring service problems
EO Managing a Quality Service answers should cover the service as well as the individual customer interaction. The panel wants evidence of clear priorities, honest expectations, stakeholder updates, problem solving and a balance between quality and cost effectiveness.

What the panel is testing

At EO level, prepare evidence that you can understand customer needs, plan a reliable service and solve recurring problems without losing value for money. The panel will test the detail behind your actions, including what you knew, what you decided, how you involved other people and how the outcome was checked.

Official EO behaviour criteria
  • work with customers to understand their needs and expectations
  • create clear plans and set priorities which meet the needs of both the customer and the business
  • clearly explain to customers what can be done
  • keep colleagues and stakeholders fully informed of plans, possibilities and progress
  • identify common problems that affect service, report them and find possible solutions
  • deliver good customer service which balances quality and cost effectiveness

Use the EO Behaviour Statements guide to prepare written behaviour evidence. Strength questions use a different approach and are covered in the global Civil Service Strengths Interview Questions guide.

How to prepare your evidence

1
Define the customer
Prepare who received the service, what they needed and how you checked expectations.
2
Show a service plan
Know the priorities, resources, dependencies, standards and updates used to deliver reliably.
3
Bring a recurring problem
At least one example should show an issue you identified, reported and helped solve.
4
Explain boundaries honestly
Prepare how you told customers what could and could not be done while offering a useful route forward.
5
Measure quality and value
Use accuracy, timeliness, repeat contact, complaints, cost or another service measure.
