Scenario
You are leading a recommendation on a policy change. The chief economist supports one option because the model predicts the strongest overall benefit. Frontline leaders report that the same option could harm a small vulnerable group in ways the model does not capture. Discussion has become personal, with each side questioning the other's credibility. The decision is due soon, and the available evidence cannot fully quantify the frontline concern. You need to make a recommendation that uses specialist analysis while treating operational evidence and uncertainty seriously.
