Scenario
A director has announced that your area will be restructured, but the final team design will not be confirmed for six weeks. No job losses have been announced. Staff are sharing rumours about roles disappearing and several people are distracted in meetings. One colleague asks you directly whether their post is safe. You have the same limited information as the team, although you can collect questions and take them to the programme lead. You need to support people through the uncertainty while keeping work moving and avoiding promises you cannot make.

Meet only with the two colleagues who seem most worried and ask them to reassure everyone else.
