Reusing CV Evidence in a Civil Service Personal Statement
Hello,
I am applying for a SEO role that asks for an employment history, Previous Skills and Experience, and a 750-word personal statement. My strongest example is a service improvement project that matches several essential criteria.
I have already included the project in the CV section. Repeating it in the personal statement feels wasteful, but leaving it out means the statement would use weaker examples.
Should the same evidence appear in both sections?

Some overlap is sensible when the example is your strongest evidence for the role. Use the CV to establish breadth and relevant experience, then use the personal statement to explain the judgement, actions and results in greater depth instead of copying the same wording.
