Can I use bullet points in the Civil Service CV boxes?

Using Bullet Points in Civil Service CV and Previous Skills Boxes

Hello,

I am applying for a HEO role and the form has separate Employment History and Previous Skills and Experience boxes. My current draft is made up of short bullet points under each job and each essential criterion.

The bullets are easier to read than long paragraphs, although some of them are only a few words, such as “stakeholder management” or “produced reports”.

Are bullet points acceptable in these Civil Service CV boxes, and how detailed should each one be?

Quick Answer

Yes, bullet points can work well when the form accepts plain text and the vacancy instructions do not require another format. Each bullet still needs to provide assessable evidence, so use complete, specific statements rather than labels or fragments.
