What No Follow-Up Questions Mean in a Civil Service Interview
Hello,
I completed an EO interview yesterday. The panel asked the prepared behaviour questions but did not probe any of my answers. They thanked me and moved straight to the next question each time.
The interview finished earlier than the booked slot, and I am now convinced they had already decided I was not appointable.
Does the lack of follow-up questions usually mean the answers were weak?

No reliable conclusion can be drawn from the absence of follow-up questions. Your answers may have been complete, the panel may have been following a fixed format or they may have managed time differently; the score and feedback are more useful than reading meaning into interview style.
