My behaviour answer follows STAR but still scores poorly. What is missing?
Why a STAR Behaviour Statement Can Still Receive a Low Score
Hello,
I am applying for SEO roles and my behaviour statements follow STAR closely. I include a short situation, explain my task, describe the actions and finish with the result.
Despite that, my scores are often 3 or 4. I assumed STAR was the main thing the panel wanted, so I am unsure what else to change.
My examples are real and involve large pieces of work. I sometimes use the same general structure for different behaviours because it keeps the answer clear.
What can be weak even when the STAR structure is correct?
