Using One Workplace Example for Two Civil Service Behaviours
Hello,
I am applying for a HEO role that asks for Changing and Improving, Communicating and Influencing and Delivering at Pace.
My strongest example is a service redesign that required me to analyse a broken process, persuade two teams to adopt a new approach and deliver the change before a fixed deadline.
The example could answer all three behaviours. I have other examples, but they are less complex and have weaker results.
Can I use the service redesign twice, or will the panel see that as repeating myself?
Quick Answer
You can use the same underlying situation for more than one behaviour when each statement focuses on different actions and criteria. Use another example where possible if repetition would leave the application narrow or cause the two answers to share most of their wording.
