What Should I Do If the Minutes of My Civil Service Meeting Are Inaccurate?

Hello,
I recently attended a formal meeting about problems at work and asked for the discussion to be minuted.
I have now received the written minutes, but several important parts are inaccurate. Some of my comments have been shortened in a way that changes their meaning, while other points I raised have been left out completely.
I want to send back a corrected version, but I am concerned that the manager or minute-taker may refuse to accept my amendments.
What happens if we cannot agree on the final record? Can I insist that my corrections are attached to the original minutes?
I would also like to know whether I can record future meetings so that there is an accurate account of what was said.
