Can I leave short or irrelevant jobs out of my employment history?

Leaving Short or Irrelevant Jobs Out of Civil Service Employment History

Hello,

I am applying for an AO role and have several short jobs from agency work, hospitality and retail. Some lasted only a few months and are not directly relevant to the vacancy.

If I include everything, the Employment History box looks cluttered. If I remove the short roles, there will be gaps in the dates.

Can I leave them out?

Quick Answer

Follow any instruction requiring a complete employment history. Where the form allows a concise CV, keep short or irrelevant roles brief rather than deleting them in a way that creates unexplained gaps. The detailed evidence can focus on the roles most relevant to the vacancy.
