Judgement Test Question 12 – A shortcut helps one team and harms another
Read the scenario and rate every action independently. Several actions can receive the same rating.

Scenario
Your team wants to bypass the shared triage route for urgent cases and send them directly to a specialist unit. This would help your own deadlines, but the specialist unit already supports several teams and direct requests would interrupt its planned work. Other teams would still use the normal queue. Your manager likes the idea because it offers a quick improvement for your area. The need for faster urgent handling may be genuine, but the effect across the service has not been assessed. You are asked whether the shortcut should be trialled next week.
Rate the actions
For each action, choose Counterproductive, Ineffective, Fairly Effective or Effective.
Action A
Trial the shortcut quietly for two weeks and stop it if the specialist unit or another team complains.
