Judgement Test Question 3 – Helping a new starter

← Previous question  |  Back to question bank  |  Next question →

Read the scenario and rate every action independently. Several actions can receive the same rating.

Practice level: AA and AO

Scenario

A new starter asks for help with recording incoming post. The process includes adding the received date, linking the item to the correct case and placing confidential documents in a secure tray. You use the process regularly and have enough time before your next task to explain it properly. The new starter has read the guidance but is unsure how the steps work in practice. They will need to complete the task independently during future shifts. Your response should help them work safely and build confidence, rather than simply removing the task from them whenever they ask for support.
