Scenario
A new colleague joined your team last week. Formal training is progressing well, but they have missed several small updates that experienced staff share informally during the day. They have started checking everything with the supervisor because they are worried about making mistakes. The rest of the team is friendly but assumes the new colleague will learn the unwritten routines over time.
