Judgement Test Question 28 – Recording data after a policy change
Read the scenario and rate every action independently. Several actions can receive the same rating.

Scenario
You coordinate a monthly data return from several local delivery partners. A new policy changes one of the eligibility categories from 1 October. A partner asks whether they should stop recording the old category immediately. The published guidance says new cases must use the new category from that date, while historic figures are still needed so the department can compare demand before and after the change. The monthly return supports national planning as well as local performance reporting. You can check the guidance with the policy lead before replying, and the partner needs an answer today so they can brief their staff.
Rate the actions
For each action, choose Counterproductive, Ineffective, Fairly Effective or Effective.

Tell the partner to record only the new category because the old category is no longer used for new cases.
