What should I do if a Civil Service online test freezes or crashes?

Responding to a Civil Service Online Test Technical Failure

Hello,

I started a Civil Service online test and the page froze after several questions. I refreshed the browser and was returned to the application centre, but I am worried that my answers or remaining time have been lost.

The deadline is tomorrow evening and I have not yet contacted the recruitment team. I did take a screenshot showing the error message and time.

What should I do now?

Quick Answer

Return to the application centre and try to relaunch the test because progress is normally saved after an interrupted session. Keep the screenshot, note the time and contact the vacancy team promptly if you cannot continue, a timed section was affected or the test status looks wrong. Do not wait until after the deadline.
