Hello,
I have a Civil Service interview coming up and I am struggling to understand how people remember several detailed behaviour examples.
I can write a strong answer when I have time to plan it, but I am worried that I will forget important actions, results or figures once the interview starts. I have prepared notes for each behaviour and could keep them beside me during the video interview.
Are candidates allowed to use notes, or will the panel think I am cheating or reading a prepared script? I do not want to sound robotic, but I also do not want nerves to make me leave out the strongest parts of my examples.
What should the notes contain, and how much is too much?

Brief notes are commonly used as prompts in Civil Service interviews, provided the interview instructions do not prohibit them and you still answer the question naturally. The problem is not having notes; it is reading a fixed script that does not adapt to what the panel has actually asked.
