What exactly should I put in the Civil Service Employment History box?
What to Include in the Civil Service Employment History Box
Hello,
I am completing an AO application with separate boxes for Employment History and Previous Skills and Experience. The Employment History box has plenty of space, but the form does not explain how much detail it wants.
I currently have employer names, job titles, dates and a paragraph of duties for every role. This repeats information I plan to use in Previous Skills and Experience.
What should the Employment History box contain?
Quick Answer
Unless the vacancy gives different instructions, use Employment History as a clear factual timeline with employer, job title and dates. Add brief role context only where it helps the reader understand relevant experience. Keep the detailed criteria-matching evidence for Previous Skills and Experience.
