Scenario
A colleague is unexpectedly absent and your supervisor asks you to complete a routine task you have not done before. Written instructions are available, but one part is unclear. The task is due today and the colleague who normally provides cover is busy. You have completed similar work and can ask one short question before starting.
Rate the actions
For each action, choose Counterproductive, Ineffective, Fairly Effective or Effective.
Action A
Explain that you have not been trained and continue with your usual duties until the colleague returns.
